Congressional Recess Visit
Resource Center
Now is the time. Take action. Take the next step. Keep your members of Congress (MOCs) engaged. When MOCs are scheduled to hold a work period in their home districts, please contact your representatives in the House and the Senate to schedule visits with them while they are home.
To prepare for your meeting, please view the following:
- Talking points
- Letter to invite your MOC to your company
- Letter to White House Rural Council spelling out Rural Associations’ concerns with USF/ICC Order
- An Op-Ed from Senator Dorgan recently published in a Capitol Hill newspaper
- The Hudson Institute Economic Analysis
- Sample letter to send to key policy makers
- Op-Ed framework to assist you in writing an op-ed for local publication
- A customer fact sheet which can be distributed at customer/annual meetings
- A customer newsletter article bylined by Senator Dorgan
- A customer newsletter article similar to the fact sheet
Congressional recesses are also an excellent time to participate in and amplify the Save Rural Broadband campaign. Access the campaign materials to use during visits from your elected officials.
We want to hear from you. If you conduct a visit, please contact us with your story, comments, press releases, photos, etc. at ga@ntca.org.
